He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Koster and Polly Koster; his parents-in-law, Joe and Helene Forney; his brother Dennis Koster; and his brother-in-law David Dillon.
He is survived by: his wife Jolene Forney; his children, Jennifer of Duluth and Sean (Angela); his grandchildren, Cody Schimming of Baltimore, Devin, Maggie Koster of Blaine, Tristan Koster of Blaine, Aiden Koster of New Ulm, Erik Koster of Mankato and Josh McClain of Superior, Wisconsin; his sisters, Rochelle Dillon of Buderium, Queensland, Jacqueline and Terry Rae-Ledin of Washburn, Wisconsin; and his sister-in-law Barb Koster of Williams. He is also survived by family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 13th 2026 at the Silver Bay Reunion Hall (97 Outer Dr, Silver Bay, MN 55614). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 13th 2026 at the Sawtooth Cemetery (5375 Lax Lake Rd, Silver Bay, MN 55614).
