With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruby Mayetta Collins of Topeka, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 6, 2026 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ruby may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Collins and Freddie Collins (Graham); and her son John William Collins. She is survived by: her son Russell Washington IV; her brother Hank Collins; and her grandchildren, Asiah Washington, Dominic Washington, Isiah Washington, Russell Washington V and Mazikeen Washington.
