She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Sharkey and Ida Sharkey (Moore); her husband Tom Hawks; her son Mike Hawks; her sisters, Judy Blocher, Susan Van Vleck and Pam Foresman; and her grandson Landon Maddox.

She is survived by: her children, Jim Hawks (Debby) and April Maddox (Jesse); her grandchildren, Tyler Hawks (Michelle), Andruw Hawks, Jacob Hawks, Keaton Maddox, Kenzie Maddox and Kendall Maddox; her great grandchildren, Beau, Luka and Ellie Pearl-Hawks; her brother Jerry Sharkey (Pauline); her sister-in-law Sharon K. Hawks; her nephew Greg Sharkey; and her nieces, Michelle McNally, Amy Wakeman, Sarah Sharkey, Chelsi Turner and Kallie Foresman.
