We bid farewell to Sharon C. Matayka of Topeka, Kansas, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 9, 2025 at the age of 75. Sharon touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As we bid Sharon farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sharon is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Joe Matayka; her children, Kevin Matayka and Meghan Dillman; her son-in-law Alex Dillman; her grandchildren, Isabella and Avery; and her parents, Paul and Margaret.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the The Beacon (420 SW 9th St, Topeka, KS 66612).
