He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Philip Aschenbrenner, Rosa (Schuster) of Colby, John and Theresa Weber (Augustine) of Ellis; his parents, Steve Aschenbrenner and Thresia (Weber) of Brewster; his siblings, John Aschenbrenner and Thresia Rose Aschenbrenner; his siblings-in-law, Janice Swenson (Houston), Sandra Gaede (Aschenbrenner) and Roy Houston; his niece Keri Aschenbrenner; and his nephew Jason Aschenbrenner.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his son Stephen Todd (Diane (Sheern) Aschenbrenner) of Manhattan; his grandchildren, Dayne Houston Aschenbrenner of Manhattan, Kansas., Bodyn Crager Aschenbrenner of Manhattan, Kansas. and Brooklynn Anabel Aschenbrenner of Manhattan, Kansas.; his siblings, Phillip Aschenbrenner (Phyliss) of Denver, Tom Aschenbrenner (Juanita) of Brewster, Nick Aschenbrenner (Lisa) of Bonner Springs and Rose Marie; and his brother-in-law Ron Swenson (Virginia) of Lake Ridge. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (4700 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
