It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Gerard Nordhus of Topeka, Kansas, born in Seneca, Kansas, who passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester "Pat" Nordhus and Rose Ann Nordhus (Reinecke); his brother Timothy Nordhus; his father-in-law Melvin W. Haverkamp; and his brother-in-law Robert Hildebrand.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Haverkamp of Bede's Catholic Church; his children, Brad Nordhus (Ashley) of Seneca, Jacob Nordhus (Gabby) of Seneca, Stephanie Sperfslage (Bryan) of Sabetha, KS and Melissa Love (Derek) of Seneca; his grandchildren, Camden, Keenan Nordhus, Charlotte, Hattie, Vayda, Evelyn Sperfslage, Emmett, Owen, Sutton Nordhus, Henry and Jack Love; his siblings, Martin Nordhus (Terry) of Seneca, Sylvia Hildebrand of Kansas City, MO, Tina Strathman (Kenny) of Seneca and Geriann Melcher (Gary) of Seneca; his mother-in-law Carolyn Haverkamp of Seneca; and his sister-in-law Sylvia Nordhus of Olathe, KS. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Sts. Peter and Paul School in Seneca, Coins for a Cause, and sent in care of the family.
