He was predeceased by: his father Dwayne Forbes; his grandparents, Abel and Elizabeth Carter; his aunts, Patricia Maples and Carrie Maples; his brother James Andre Gill; and his cousins, Stephanie, Shanique, Timothy, Jr., Chris, David Neal and Shawn.
He is survived by: his mother Jacqueline Gill; his great-aunts, Betty, Earline and Janet; his great-uncle David Gill; his stepfather Leroy; his aunt Joyce; his siblings, Alison, Anthony, Charise, Elise (Odom) and Denise; his cousins, Kimberly, Stacie, Tonya, Ronald, Eric, Javonna and Angie; and his siblings' children, Manuel, Lakea, Ulysee, James, Alesia, Tyson, Daniel (Vierge), David (Jocelyn), Brianna, LeTore and Xavier. He is also survived by six great-nephews, five great nieces, and a host of cousins.
Walter attended the Capper Foundation where he earned a diploma in 1975.
