He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hillmer and Mary Hillmer (Fowler). He is survived by: his significant other Joyce Gilpin; and his grandchildren, Brian (Kirsty), Gilpin (Kate), Sean (Martha) and Devin (Allison).
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Town & Country Christian Church (4925 SW 29th St, Topeka, KS 66614). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at the Rochester Cemetery (1200 NW Menninger Rd, Topeka, KS 66618).
