He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Dickson and Melissa Miller Dickson; his brothers, John Arthur, Jr. and Dale E. Dickson; his siblings-in-law, Ann Dickson and Bill Weaverling; his sons-in-law, Gary Pryor and Jon Picolet; and his grandson Matt Picolet.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Tucker McLain; his children, Debra Pryor of Manhattan, Kansas, Dale K. (Dodi) of Shawnee, Kansas and Denise Tatman (Jim) of Coffeyville, Kansas; his stepdaughters, Cheryl Alves (John) of Durango and Shanna Ziegler (Tom) of Perry, Kansas; and his siblings, Willard of Topeka, Wayne of Emporia and Betty Weaverling of Salina, Kansas. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
