It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William E. Michener Jr. of Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William E. Michener and Mildred Michener (Pardee); and his wives, Jane Michener of Oskaloosa and Nancy Joyce Michener. He is survived by: his children, Monica Mueller (Michael) and William "Mitch" H. Michener; his grandchildren, Amy, Megan, Luke, William and Wyatt; and his stepsons, Jeff Greenwood (Kathy) and Mark Greenwood (Tracy). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Calendar Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home (1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Calendar Penwell-Gabel - Mid-Town Chapel (1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604). A burial will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
