He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Southard and Mildred N. Francis Southard. He is survived by: his wife Nancy A. Vawter; his children, Leann (Scott Novak) of Lawrence, Wes (Kellen Drury) of Kansas City, Missouri and Jess; his grandchildren, Saydie and Hadley Southard of Topeka; his siblings, Phyllis McArdle (Ray) of Texas and Sam Southard (Becky) of Missouri; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Shuck (Duane) of Overbrook, Mary Burgett (Greg) of Carbondale and Jim Vawter of Scranton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (5973 SW 25th St, Topeka, KS 66614). A rosary will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
