He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Southard and Mildred N. Francis Southard. He is survived by: his wife Nancy A. Vawter; his children, Leann (Scott Novak) of Lawrence, Wes (Kellen Drury) of Kansas City, Missouri and Jess; his grandchildren, Saydie and Hadley Southard of Topeka; his siblings, Phyllis McArdle (Ray) of Texas and Sam Southard (Becky) of Missouri; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Shuck (Duane) of Overbrook, Mary Burgett (Greg) of Carbondale and Jim Vawter of Scranton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
