Jan Kemp Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jan Kemp of Towanda, Kansas, who passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Jan's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Jan has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Freeman and Imo F. Gill (Umstott). She is survived by: her daughters, LaDonna Ross (Brad) of Merritt Island, FL and Kathryn Isbill (Michael) of Shiocton, WI. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carlson Colonial Funeral Home (200 S Star St, El Dorado, KS 67042). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Towanda Community Church (103 4th St, Towanda, KS 67144). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations in Jan's name may be directed towards the Towanda Public Library and United Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation of Kansas.
