He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dale and Helen May Steele (Wilcoxen); his wife Sharon Kay Gaul; his brother Alan; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Steele and Arlyce Steele.
He is survived by: his children, Scott (Christine Steele) and Stacia (Jobie Langston); and his brother Larry Steele of Tribune. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.
