With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Burkhart of Ulysses, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Burkhart and Ethel Burkhart (Francis); and his wife Bonnie Jean Slifer. He is survived by: his sons, Darren Burkhart (Lisa) of Bakersfield, Dustin Burkhart (Katie) of El Dorado and Cory Burkhart (Kourtney) of Goddard, Kansas; his sister Kolene Luper of Augusta, Kansas; his grandchildren, Noah, Evan, Sadie, Sophia, Sarah, Hope, Medaris, Kerigan and Lainie; and his great grandchildren, Karter, Kendall, Kymbre, Chandler, Adria, Ezra and Cleo.

Memorial contributions may be given to Caterpillars and Butterflies at Ulysses Church of Christ in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, Kansas 67880.
