He was predeceased by : his parents, William O. Spencer and Mable A. Spencer (Smith); his son Joseph Dean Spencer; and his siblings, Alice Prewitt, Joan Patterson and Bob Spencer.
He is survived by : his wife Peggy A. Cowan; his son Thomas Whitworth (Kim) of Nashville, Arkansas; his daughter-in-law Melanie Spencer of Van Buren, Arkansas; his siblings, Harry Spencer (Charlene) of Goshen, Dean Spencer (Loui) of Edgewood, Chuck Spencer (Angie) of Grenola, Kansas, Mary Morgan of Spiro and Ruth Wilkinson (Butch) of Purdy, Missouri; his brothers-in-law, Robert Cowan (Pam) of Roseville and Richard Cowan (Donna) of Aberdeen; his grandchildren, Jordan Spencer, Laken Scott and Ty Whitworth (Makayla); and his great grandchildren, Allison Spencer, McKynlee Scott (Whitworth), Luke Scott (Whitworth) and Laney Whitworth. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
