She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Spruce and Leona Spruce (Kidwell); her brothers, Frank, Tom and Bobbie; her son Terry Don; her daughter-in-law Denise Walters; her granddaughter Leah Heldman; and her son-in-law Phil Hammond.

She is survived by: her husband Lavon Walters; and her children, Teresa Hammond of Ulysses, Dennis Walters of Jackson, Steve Walters (Helen) of Hutchinson and Jim Walters (Lori) of Hugoton. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
