He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Edward and Anna Kristine Schultz (Bailey); his siblings, Patty Pickering (Lonnie), Georgia Ann Tappan (George), Glenn Hawks (JoAnne), Bob Hawks (Genie), Jerry Schultz (Carole) and Terry Schultz; and his son-in-law Jerry S. Cole, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Judy Dishman; his daughter Veronica Spencer (Tim) of Ulysses, KS; his grandchildren, Calvin Cole (Joseline) of Olathe, KS and Carly Straus (Bryan) of Hortonville, WI; his brothers, Lewis Schultz, Jr. (Nancy) of Cortez, CO and Gary Schultz (Edna) of Lexington, NE; and his sister-in-law Audry Schultz of Manor, TX..
