He was predeceased by: his parents, James John "J. J." Billings and Mabel Alice Garhart. He is survived by: his sister Sara Jane Blubaugh; his daughters, Brenda Billings, Baretta Schmeissner (Chris), Barb Murphree Valley Falls (David), Jamie Billings of Mission, KS and Jeanie Frakes (Rick); his grandchildren, James Hicks (Jenny), Lisa Hicks, Leah Jimerson (Elijah), Andrea Manuel (Da'Von), Noah Schmeissner, Miles Murphree, Cole Murphree, Tyler Dismang, Tiffany Dismang, Jessie Frakes, Wilder Frakes, Rachel Frakes (Dalton) and John Frakes; and his great grandchildren, Judah, Laniyah, Aviannah, Everette and Mazie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home (810 Broadway St, Valley Falls, KS 66088). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church (410 Frazier St, Valley Falls, KS 66088).
