She was predeceased by: her parents, Monta Gordon Benge and Elizabeth Mae Benge (Sones); and her siblings, Melvin Benge, Ilene Woods, Virginia Wilcox, Shirley Tarrant, Beverly Zoglmann and Donna Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Monica Halsey (Jesse) of Clearwater, Kansas, Adam Pauly (Lindsay) and Nicole Friess (Jared) of Conway Springs, Kansas; her close friend Jim Ternes; her siblings, Terry Benge of Conway Springs, Kansas and Sharon Carter of Olathe, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas Halsey, Adaline, Aidan Pauly and Emma Friess. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
A memorial has been established to the St. Joseph Catholic School, Conway Springs, Kansas.
