He is survived by: his wife Mary Sylvia Kerschen (Ayers); his siblings, Corene Wilhite of Eufaula, OK, Robert (Jeanette) of Cunningham and Verna Papotta (Ken) of Simi Valley, CA; and his children, Tom (Karen) of Cunningham, Margaret Taylor-Smith (Dan) of Grove, OK, John (Blanca) of Commerce City, CO, Denise Richey (Joe) of Colwich, Steve (Charo) of Wichita, Rita of Colwich, Niel (Laura) of Andover, David (Tina) of Lee's Summit, MO and Helene Rausch (Dana) of Shawnee. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (18630 W 71st St S, Viola, KS 67149). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
