She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Opat and Anna Opat (Engelbrecht); her husband Vernie; and her siblings, Jim Opat, Betty Fry, Dorothy Mong and Barbara Opat.
She is survived by: her brother Eugene Opat of WaKeeney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
