Richard Friendly Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Friendly (Wakeeney, Kansas), who passed away on March 17, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Richard leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Richard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Friendly and Grace Friendly; his wife Ann; and his sister Betty Murphy. He is survived by: his children, Rory (WaKeeney Boy Scout Troop) of Alexandia, Virginia and Nora Schoenthaler (David Smith) of Lenexa, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Deven Schoenthaler of Ashland and Emarie Schoenthaler of Raleigh.
