It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Adair Hearting (Wakeeney, Kansas), born in Hays, Kansas, who passed away on October 1, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth Hearting and Carol Hearting (Sunley); his brother Duane Hearting; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Hearting and Elgin Wahlborg.
He is survived by : his wife Jeanice Engel; his children, Holly, Amy and Rusty; his grandson Conner Hearting; and his siblings, Barb Richter (Steve) of Lynch Station, VA, Richard (Judy Hearting) of WaKeeney, KS and Margaret Wahlborg of Arkansas City, KS..
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Society of Hays, Praire Home Church in WaKeeney, or the Methodist Church in WaKeeney and sent to Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 N 12th St., WaKeeney, KS 67672.
