Charles Stephen Shireman Obituary

In loving memory of Charles Stephen Shireman of Walnut, Kansas, who departed this world on September 13, 2025 at the age of 97. Charles leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Charles touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Henry Shireman, Sr. and Faye Shireman (Stephens); his wife Marjorie Vinze; and his brothers, Richard Henry Shireman II and John "Jack" Shireman.

He is survived by: his children, Charles "Steve" Shireman Jr. (Kay) of Emporia, Roger "Doug" Shireman (Richette) of Walnut, Janis "Jan" Schiefelbein (Kurt) of Pittsburg and Gregory "Greg" Shireman (Charlotte) of Republic, Missouri.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be made in lieu of flowers to Shriners Hospital for Children.
