It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barb Coates of Wamego, Kansas, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, James Bogart and Elizabeth Bogart (Humbarger); her former life partner Larry Efurd; her grandson Bryce Reed; and her brother Kim Bogart.

She is survived by : her spouse Dalmas Coates; her children, Brad Efurd, Blaine, Stacey Schmidt and Kennan Coates (Katie); her grandchildren, Lance Bean, Taylor Ireton, Garrett Schmidt and Kevlynn Coates; and her brother Barry Bogart (Andrea). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Wamego Honor Flight, and those may be sent in care of the funeral home.
