He was predeceased by : his siblings, Charles "Vincent" Fechter, Dean Fechter, Victor Fechter, Harold Fechter and Edith Torrey.

He is survived by : his wife Kay Louise Duncan; his daughters, Katherine Corwin, Robin Irvin (Mike) and Susan Fechter; his grandchildren, Thomas Irvin (Tina), Laura Rozell (Sam) and Rachel Mintz (Drew); and his great grandchildren, Lydia Irvin, Titus Irvin and Elaine Irvin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
