She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland and Chloe (Walters); her husband Floyd D. Sorrick; her brothers, David (Janice), Riesen and V. Lyle (Suzette); her brother-in-law Jerry Sorrick (Dee); and her son-in-law Stan Newby.
She is survived by: her children, Brad Sorrick (Debi), Cindy Sorrick (Alan Parker) and Linda Newby; her grandchildren, Jacob Newby (Charley Daniel), Bryant Newby (Jenn), Megan Sorrick and Drew Sorrick (Elora); and her great grandchildren, Lainey and Kinsley Newby.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ward Funeral Home (115 W 2nd St, Washington, KS 66968). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church (400 C St, Washington, KS 66968). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Fairmont Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established to KSDS Assistance Dogs, Inc. or First United Methodist Church in Washington.
