He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Rieth and Clara Rieth (Siebenhaar); his daughter Danielle Rieth; his grandson Tyler Rieth; his great grandchild Leo Hasenkamp; his parents-in-law, Wallace and Mabel Giesler; his siblings, Dwayne Rieth, Bernard Rieth, Arnold Rieth, Garold Rieth and Rosella Heier; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Parker, Phil Heier, Vern Duncan, Norman Giesler, Ruth Duncan and Trudy Rieth.

He is survived by : his wife Barb Rieth; his children, Lee (Kate), Alice Stoker (Larry), Lisa Rieth (Doug Zimmerman), Alan Rieth (Janet) and Christina Sporing (Earren) of Texhoma, OK; his sisters, Virginia Parker, Linn and Marcella Rieth; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Rieth and Cheryl Rieth.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ward Funeral Home (115 W 2nd St, Washington, KS 66968). A rosary was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Augustine Catholic Church (410 B St, Washington, KS 66968). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (410 B St, Washington, KS 66968).

A memorial fund has been established to St. Augustine Catholic Church or Linn Community Nursing Home.
