He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Ray and Dolores Helen Powell (Pahls). He is survived by: his wife Denise Ouellette; his children, Thaddeus Powell of Washington, Amanda Powell of Dallas and Taylor Miller (Jake) of Washington; his grandchildren, Peyton DeBarge (Chad) of Lake Charles and Taytum Miller of Washington; his great grandchild Remi DeBarge of Lake Charles, Louisiana.; his siblings, Larry Powell (Mary Lynn) of McPherson, David Powell (Charlotte) of Hutchinson, Darlene Brillinger (Dennis) of Kingsland, Georgia and Angie Powell-Graham of Kingsland, Georgia; and his pets, Willis and Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, a Richard Powell Memorial Fund is established with proceeds dedicated to the Washington Community and St. Augustine Catholic Church.
