He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Moody and Millie Moody (Bledsoe). He is survived by: his wife Kim Grissom (Lair); and his children, Tyler (Sandra Grissom), Carrie Grissom, Christopher (Shelby Grissom) and Michelle "Chelle" (C. J. Stanley). He is also survived by two sisters, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.
