Gladys Joan Kerschen Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gladys Joan Kerschen of Wellington, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 16, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Becker and Mae Becker (Ohnemiller); her husband Walter J. Kerschen; her son Kent Michael Kerschen; and her sister Charlotte Ringer.

She is survived by: her children, Carla Whaley (Joe) of Goddard, Cheryl Bethel (Mark) of Wichita and Kurt Kerschen (Brandi) of Peck; her brother Charles Becker of Wichita; her grandchildren, Jená Anderson, Noal, John Whaley, Stephanie, Chelsea Bethel, Ashton Bethel (Chris Reazin), Kinsley Holtz, Colton, Kade Kerschen, Nyssa, Orian Brown and Taylor; and her great grandchildren, Jacob Anderson Nick Anderson, Zack Anderson, Jackson Whaley, Jenna Whaley, Jameson Whaley, Jillian Whaley, Emery Spears, Hadalyn Holtz, Halden Holtz and Beau Brown.

Memorial donations can be given in Gladys's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
