He is survived by: his siblings, Basilisa Lopez, John Montenegro, Mary Reyes and Frank Montenegro; his wife Pam; his children, Denise Garner (Michael) of Athens, Texas, Mark Montenegro (Angela) of Belle Plaine, Brian Montenegro of Wellington and Andre Montenegro of Tomball, Texas.; his grandchildren, Alexander Garner (Yander), Nathan Garner (Monica), Elizabeth Montenegro, Adrianna Montenegro, Tyler Montenegro, Melody Rinehart (Trey Cary) and Aleena Rinehart; his great grandchildren, Addis Schieferecke, Elise Garner, Lucia Garner, Henry Garner and Myles Cary; his siblings, Angel Montenegro, Carmen Ramirez (Rudy), Dolores Warrell, Cecilia Izaguirre (Ephraim), Esther McDermott (Peter) and Helen Marshall; and his siblings-in-law, Henry Reyes, Judy Gayok (Ted), Debbie Dean (Dave Banowetz), Becky Forcht (Tom) and Laurie Schrimer (Scott).
A rosary was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the St. Anthony-St. Rose Catholic Church (210 N B St, Wellington, KS 67152). Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
