It is with sadness that the passing of Letha I. Saunders (Wellington, Kansas) is shared. Letha, born on September 5, 1927, passed away on October 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Sr. Fitts and Edna Fitts; her husband Samuel "Ed" Saunders; her daughter Susan McNeil; and her brothers, Asa Fitts and Gordon Jr..
She is survived by: her son Michael Saunders (Kelly); her grandchildren, Brynn Richardson, Nathan Saunders (Liz), Kate Pfaff (Bill), Kelsey Curry-Swingle (Brien) and Brett McNeil (Julie); and her great grandchildren, Alex Richardson, Jackson Curry, Sam Richardson, Elliott McNeil, Addie Curry and Amelie McNeil.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory (1030 Mission Rd, Wellington, KS 67152). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Wellington Methodist Church (202 W Harvey Ave, Wellington, KS 67152).
Memorial donations may be made to the Wellington Methodist Church.
