With solemn reverence, we commemorate Shane J. Shields of Wellington, Kansas, whose life came to an end on November 21, 2025 at the age of 64, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby Shields; his sister Valary Payne; and his father-in-law Fredrick Jones. He is survived by: his father Max Shields of Wellington; his wife Danielle Jones; his children, Sydney Shields of Wichita and Jared Shields (Tegan) of Wellington; his brother-in-law Larry Payne of Olathe; his mother-in-law Carolyn Jones of Wellington; his siblings-in-law, Damon Jones (Rosemary) of Wichita, Felicia Massey (Greg) of Andover and Tony Jones of Derby; his brother Tom Miller of Wellington; and his grandchildren, Jack, Kai, Binx, Saige and Ronnie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory (1030 Mission Rd, Wellington, KS 67152). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Wellington Methodist Church (202 W Harvey Ave, Wellington, KS 67152).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Wellington Humane Society or Good Shepherd Hospice.
