He was predeceased by: his daughter Ashley Umscheid; his parents, Joe Zeit and Julia Zeit; and his siblings, Dick Zeit, JoAnn Burke (Elwood) and Bill Gullett.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Umscheid; his daughters, Heather Larimer (Nathan), Heidi Johnson, Atchison, Mandi Taylor (Nathan) and Maddie Johnson (Justin); his grandchildren, Alex Zeit, Sydney and Cameron Johnson; his great grandchild Nora McCain; his brother David Zeit (Nita); his sister-in-law Janice Zeit (Denton); and his sister Marcia Cerra (Ben). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Unfortunately, COVID made it difficult for them to continue with the catering business.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Onaga Area Veterans, New Hope Lutheran Church, or the Wheaton Congregational Cemetery, and those may be sent in care of Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego.
