We bid farewell to Millie Eilene Marshall of Whiting, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 24, 2025 at the age of 98. Millie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charley Rainey and Henrietta Miller; and her siblings, Dora McCarty, Ida Rainey, Ruby Lancaster, Pearl Nelson, Rose Fair, Hester Andis, Russell Rainey, Alfred Rainey, Fred Rainey, Clifford Rainey and Sylvester Rainey.
She is survived by: her children, Ralph William Marshall (Denise) of Whiting, KS and Nellie Anne Lavin of Flagstaff, AZ; and her grandchildren, Adam Lavin, William S. Marshall and Sarah E. Marshall.
The lying in state was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home (1101 W 4th St, Holton, KS 66436). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Springhill Cemetery.
