He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Isaac and Georga "Maxine" Shank (Long); his sister Cynthia Ragland Baker; and his brothers-in-law, Wendell Scott Smothermon, Oliver Kent Ragland and Col John Robert Baker.
He is survived by: his children, Megan Harp (Lyn), Marc Shank (Becky) and Miranda Ruland (Andy); his fiancé Lynde Kerr; his partner's children, Shay and Lukas; his sisters, Reba Smothermon and Sally Luallen; and his grandchildren, Halle, Georga, Isaac, Scout and Rosemary. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Al Shank Jr. Scholarship Fund in care of Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.
