He was predeceased by: his mother Sylvia Blake; and his brother Doug. He is survived by: his father John Borovetz; his wife Sharon Borovetz; his children, Andrew Payne (Danielle), Logan Borovetz (Nicole) and Morgan Borovetz; his grandchildren, Joshua Payne and Adalyn Borovetz; and his siblings, Greg Brightman (Roberta), Bob Borovetz (Emily), Curt Borovetz (Jeanette), Mike Borovetz (Melissa) and Diane Borovetz (Suzanne Thurman). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be established through Webb and Rodrick Funeral Home.
