He was predeceased by : his wife Deanna Rieschick; his parents, Omer Rieschick and Neva Rieschick; and his sister Opal Rexroat. He is survived by : his children, Dennis Rieschick (Gwen) of Augusta and Denise Fumagalli of Bel Aire; his grandchildren, Brittany Farmer (Austin) of Augusta, Shelby Hedges (Blair), Ashley Hedges (Blaine) of Wichita and Austin Rieschick (Savanna) of Augusta; his great grandchildren, Langston, Henry Farmer, Theodore, Magnolia Hedges, Otto and Riot Rieschick; his siblings, Dorcas Schweitzer (Robert) and Darrell Rieschick; his brother-in-law Dick Rexroat; his nephew Justin Rexroat (Heidi); and his great-nephews, Jackson, Jerek and Joel Rexroat.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Downing & Lahey East Mortuary (6555 E Central Ave, Wichita, KS 67206). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Downs Cemetery (715 Railroad St, Downs, KS 67437).

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: WAAL (Wichita Animal Action League), P.O. Box 21401, Wichita, KS 67208.
