Arlen E. Freund Obituary

We bid farewell to Arlen E. Freund in Wichita, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 10, 2025 at the age of 89. Arlen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert and Susan (Smarsh); his siblings, Norma Jean and Leon; and his daughter-in-law Sharon.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann (Martin); his children, Michelle Nichols (Eric), Martin (Pauline), Denise Thimmesch (Kevin), Karl (Sherri), Mary Jeanette Lindebak (Eric) and Kim Kempkes (Doug); his grandchildren, Eric, Rachel, Rebekah, Nicholas, Michael, Alex, Jessica, Abby, Courtney, Tyson, Lauren, Neil, Susanna, Madison, Dylan, Mark, Veronica and Lance; and his sisters, Lois Poole, Sr. (Bill), Stella Maris, Laverne Dawson, Sr. (Chuck), Mary Joseph, Frances Freund, Carol Page (Herb) and Margie Shay (Tom). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers or trees, the family asks for memorials to be given to Carmelite Monastery (9150 Clayton Rd. St. Louis, MO 63124).
