With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Maris of Wichita, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire her loved ones, keeping Barbara Ann's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elaine Oberlander and Donald Frederick; and her siblings, Dayton Belau, Susan Harris and Deb Wade.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Swaim Funeral Chapel-Dodge City (1901 6th Ave, Dodge City, KS 67801). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Barbara Maris Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
