She was predeceased by: her parents, Sotero Soria and Josefa Soria; her husband Alberto Cornejo; her daughter Estella Cornejo; her brother Benjamin Soria; and her granddaughter Lorena.
She is survived by: her children, Lupe Vaughn (Phillip) of Wellington, Kansas, Sandra Volm (Jerry) of Wichita, Kansas, Albert Cornejo, Jr. (Jessica) of Wellington, Kansas, Patsy Taylor (Lannon) of Wellington, Kansas, Susie Cornejo (Andy Bustos) of Dodge City, Kansas, Judy Roussan of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mark Cornejo (JoAnn) of Round Rock, Texas, Mathew Cornejo (Kristi) of Wichita, Kansas, Jamie Cornejo (Maria) of Wellington, Kansas, Mary Ellen Clark (Todd) of Jacksonville, Florida and Rob Cornejo of Wichita, Kansas; and her siblings, Helen Jimenez of Wellington, Kansas and Augustine Soria of California. She is also survived by 42 grandchildren; and over 60 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory (1030 Mission Rd, Wellington, KS 67152). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Anthony-St. Rose Catholic Church (210 N B St, Wellington, KS 67152). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be given in her name to Operation Holiday or the Avenue of Flags.
