He was predeceased by: his parents, Qing Jian Chi and Dong Shi Chi; and his wife Hwei-Min Sue Chi. He is survived by: his children, Lydia Chi Loo (Samuel) and Chin Hua Chi (Kuo-Ching); and his grandchildren, Peter Loo (Melodie), Colleen Loo-Gross (Derick), Yu-Hsiang Yang and Chia-Ling Yang. He is also survived by his 6 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
