We announce the death of Charles D. Jacobs (Wichita, Kansas), born in Hays, Kansas, who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 79. Charles will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Jacobs and Emilie Jacobs; and his siblings, Amelia Kay Jacobs and Eugene "Gene" Jacobs. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Teresa Reavis (Ron), Kurtis (Vanessa) and Desire'Burdg; his grandchildren, Savanah Jacobs (Jeff Browning), Leah Jo Condella (Emily), Jacob Reavis, Sam Jacobs, Alexzandria Burdg and Grace Jacobs; and his great grandchildren, Myra Johnson, Oliver Condella and Arson Browning.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Scouting America, Quivira Council, 3247 N. Oliver, Wichita, KS 67220-2106.
