He was predeceased by: his mother Winifred O'Connell; his wife Vivian; his former wife Jean O'Connell; and his siblings, Marilyn and Patrick.
He is survived by: his father Mike O'Connell; his children, Anne Baker (Mark) of Wichita and Michael O'Connell (Emily) of Kansas City, MO; his sister Mary McFadden (Joel) of Wichita; and his grandchildren, Abigail Baker, Mark Baker, III, Rollie O'Connell and Willa O'Connell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
A rosary was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (861 N Socora St, Wichita, KS 67212). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
