He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Cord and Elizabeth Cord (Steenberg). He is survived by : his children, Darl Edward (Debora) of Wiesbaden, Germany and Elizabeth Colette (Blane) of Wichita, KS; his wife Patricia (Hess); and his sister Charlotte Green (Irv Goddard) of Waianae, HI..

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery (1208 N College St, Winfield, KS 67156).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mid-Kansas Jewish Federation, 1850 N. Woodlawn, Wichita, KS 67208.
