David Lynn Clay Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2025, at the age of 79, David Lynn Clay of Wichita, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Clay and Maxine Clay (Lindley); and his siblings, James Clay and Carol Gardener. He is survived by: his son Scott Clay (Alicia) of Derby, KS; his brother Ron Clay (Sue) of Wichita, KS; and his brother-in-law Neil Gardener of Nixa, MO. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Baker Funeral Home (6100 E Central Ave Suite 203, Wichita, KS 67208).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association of Central and Western Kansas in his name.
