David Earl Smith Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Earl Smith (Wichita, Kansas), who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of David Earl Smith to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Leslie Smith and Inez Omega Smith (Thompson); his siblings, Eldon Smith, Edward Smith, Melvin Smith, Doris Abrams and Patricia Smith; his children, Jerry Dean Smith and Katryn Ann Harms; his daughter-in-law Lola Anna Smith; and his granddaughter Nicole Lindsey Harms.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Marlene Smith of Wichita, KS.; and his children, Deborah Smith (Richard Parra), David Smith Jr. (Nita), Diana Whipple (Ben), Amy Zerger (Randall) and Terry Smith (Arienne). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Smith Mortuary - Culbertson (115 S Seneca St, Wichita, KS 67213).
