Don leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Don’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Don will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sr. Menzer and Helen J Menzer; and his brother Charles Jr. Menzer. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Menzer; his daughters, Cynthia Menzer of Argyle, TX and Michelle Oesterreicher (Scott) of McKinney, TX; and his granddaughters, Nicole, Kaitlin and Julia Oesterreicher.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Downing & Lahey West Mortuary (10515 W Maple St, Wichita, KS 67209). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (1640 N Maize Rd, Wichita, KS 67212).
To honor Don's love for animals, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside Wichita, KS 67219 or the American Heart Association, 5800 Foxridge Dr. Mission, KS 66202. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Don Menzer 's name.
