He was predeceased by: his wife Genevieve Martinson (Canfield); and his daughter Susan Duerksen. He is survived by: his children, Donna Hughes, James Martinson (Jeff) and Dale Martinson (Tammy); and his grandchildren, Brian, Gwendolyn, Devin, Bailey and Greg. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Wichita Habitat for Humanity would honor his memory.
